Therefor this year we have offered our thoughts on certain clauses. It is to be STRONGLY noted the Suppliers summary of terms and conditions supersedes all comments the agent makes. FLEX RATES AGENTS NOTES: Condition *Flex Rates quoted are revised weekly and are subject to change between the time a quote is sent and when a reservation is confirmed. Quotes are valid until midnight (Eastern Standard Time) of the week ending every Sunday. The benefit of Flex Rates is that you can take advantage of lower rental rates; the earlier you book your vehicle. If your travel plans are confirmed - why not take advantage of the lower rates. We can still offer a new quote after this date but the rate may be different. The flex rate for the entire duration of the rental is determined by the date of pick-up, location and date of booking. The daily rate will not change within one booking.

• The Britz Bonus Pack for 4WD car rentals - is Gross AU$57.50 per day (maximum charge of AU$2875 per rental) and is in addition to the daily nett vehicle rate. Inclusions are for 4WD Car Rentals are:
FOR YOUR PROTECTION – VEHICLE EXCESS# Excess - Liability, Excess & Security Deposit Bond Personal injury is covered in most cases through Registration Third Party insurance. Britz strongly recommends that all people travelling in Australia take out personal travel insurance. # In the USA an excess is referred to as the “deductible”. All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the first AU$7,500 (“the excess”) of the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism with the exception of the ‘exclusions’. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. The excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if Britz is successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please note that Third Party claims can take months to resolve.The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. Please see the ‘Exclusions’ section below, whereby all insurance cover will be made void. This AU$7,500 excess can be reduced, in most circumstances, by the purchase of Excess Reduction Option 1, Excess Reduction Option 2 or the 4WD Easy Cover Option. AGENTS NOTES: This means 'The hirer is responsible for the excess of up to $7,500 - 2WD or $7,500 - 4WD. The contract is between you the hirer and THL Holdings (Britz) we the booking agent only 'Australia 4 Wheel Drive Rentals/Goholi Pty Ltd' as a Australian Licensed Travel Agent. On occassions hirer's may have a credit card offering travel insurance and we also recommned travel insurance for resasons including emergancies, travel delay's, health reasons and cancellation. If you have travel insurance then the hirer is still responsible for the excess of up to $7,500 - 2WD or $7,500 - 4WD (see terms for full details) as the contract is between THL (Britz and you the hirer) not a travel insurance company or credit card company. When taking travel insurance into consideration please note all the Britz 2WD campers and 4WD Campers are under the campervan terms not car terms.
Excess Reduction Option 1
When Excess Reduction 1 has been purchased the hirer is responsible for the first AU$2,500 (“the excess”) in the event of the vehicle being a 2WD and AU$3,500 (“the excess”) in the event of the vehicle being a 4WD of the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle. This includes single vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism with the exception of the ‘exclusions’. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. *4WD hirers who have not purchased the 4wd Easy Cover will be responsible for up to AU$7,500 for towing and vehicle recovery costs in the event that towing and vehicle recovery is required from a 4WD road where permission was provided from Britz in order to travel on the roads (refer to the road restrictions section for a list of these roads where permission is required before travel). Please see the ‘Exclusions’ section below, whereby all insurance cover will be made void. AGENTS NOTES: The cost per day to reduce the Excess is non-refundable. This means 'The hirer is responsible for the excess of up to $2,500 - 2WD or $3,500 - 4WD.
Excess Reduction Option 2
When Excess Reduction 2 has been purchased, the hirer will have no excess at all for 2WD vehicles with the exception of the ‘exclusions’. If the vehicle hired is a 4WD the hirer will be responsible for the first AU$500 (“the excess”) of the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle. This includes single vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism with the exception of the ‘exclusions’. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. Note: Excess Reduction Option 2 is included in the Britz Bonus Pack *4WD hirers who have not purchased the 4wd Easy Cover will be responsible for up to AU$7,500 for towing and vehicle recovery costs in the event that towing and vehicle recovery is required from a 4WD road where permission was provided from Britz in order to travel on the roads (refer to the road restrictions section for a list of these roads where permission is required before travel). Please see the ‘Exclusions’ section below, whereby all insurance cover will be made void. AGENTS NOTES: The cost per day to reduce the Excess is non-refundable. This means 'The hirer is responsible for the excess of up to $500 - 4WD.
4WD Easy Cover Option (4WDEASY) The 4WD Easy Cover Option is a one off fee of AU$250 per hire. The 4WD Easy Cover Option is only available with 4WD hires and when Excess Reduction 2 or the Bonus Pack has been purchased. The 4WD Easy Cover Option extends the cover available with Excess Reduction 2 or the Bonus Pack for 4WD’s to include a NIL excess, cover for accidental damage to the overhead and underbody sections of the 4WD vehicle (this does not include single vehicle roll-over), unlimited tyre and windscreen cover and towing and vehicle recovery costs from 4WD roads where permission from Britz is required to travel in advance (see road restrictions section for a list of these roads). Clients requiring vehicle towing and vehicle recovery from a road listed within this section will be responsible for up to AU$7,500 for towing and vehicle recovery in the event of not having this cover irrespective of the Excess Reduction Cover Option or Bonus Pack the customer may have. TYRE AND WINDSCREEN DAMAGE – Where a nil excess is present unlimited windscreen and tyres will be covered for accidental damage. This applies to both 2WD and 4WD hires.

EXCLUSIONS: All insurance cover will be made void if any of the following ‘Exclusions’ are breached:
VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT Upon vehicle collection, a security deposit is required. The amount is determined by the Excess Reduction Option selected. For security purposes, only a credit card can be used to provide a vehicle security deposit. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the vehicle security deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental vehicle. Debited bonds are subject to a 2% credit card administration fee in addition to the bond amount when the credit card used is either a Visa or MasterCard or 4.5% for American Express. If an Excess Reduction Option is not selected, the security deposit is AU$7,500 payable by credit card. The AU$7,500 is debited to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected. For this reason it is important that the hirer have the funds available on the credit card and that the amount does not exceed the hirer’s daily withdrawal allowance available on the credit card. AGENTS NOTES: AGENTS NOTES: This means a valid current hirer's credit card. Note: Visa gift cards or MasterCard gift cards or debit cards are not accepted by the agent or supplier. The AU$7,500 is debited to the hirer's credit card. This is 'ONLY' taken from the hirer's credit card in full at pickup of the hire vehicle rental at the nominated ETicket Britz depot location. Britz credit card administration fees also apply to debited security bonds and only the hirer's credit card is acceptable to use for the purpose of the security bond. We want to highlight to you our policy of the hirer holding a valid credit card to rent a vehicle. For security purposes only a credit card can be used to provide a security deposit. The credit card holder must be the hirer and must be present and be able to sign for the security deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental vehicle. If hirer is not present and the hirer's credit card isn't presented upon pick-up the client will be denied to rent the Campervan or 4WD and full cancellation fees will be applied. If Excess Reduction Option 1 has been taken the security deposit is AU$2,500 for 2WD vehicles and AU$3,500 for 4WD vehicles. The AU$2,500/$3,500 is debited to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected. For this reason it is important that the hirer have the funds available on the credit card and that the amount does not exceed the hirer’s daily withdrawal allowance available on the credit card. If Excess Reduction Option 2 is selected with or without 4WD Easy Cover or the package booked is the Bonus Pack the security deposit is AU$220 for 2WD vehicles or $AU500 for 4WD vehicles. The AU$220/$AU500 is taken as an imprint to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected. An imprint simply records a figure against the hirers credit card of AU$220/$AU500 that Britz can then debit if required.
The Security Deposit Is Fully Refundable Provided: The security deposit is fully refundable provided the vehicle is returned on time, to the correct location, undamaged, with a clean interior and with full fuel tanks (fuel being petrol or diesel) and gas bottle. Except where the customer has purchased PGO (PGO is included in the Britz Bonus Pack) and/or Pre Purchase Fuel (PPF), failure to return the vehicle with full petrol or diesel tanks and/or a full LPG bottle will result in refill charges, which will be advised upon return of the vehicle. Britz reserves the right to retain an AU$220 cleaning fee if the vehicle is not in a clean condition. This includes smoking related cleaning, as smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. The toilet and waste water tank must be emptied prior to the return of the vehicle, or an additional AU$125 soiling fee will be retained. FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, ONLY THE HIRERS CREDIT CARD CAN BE USED FOR VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSITS.
EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY VARIATIONS All credit card transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations and/or bank transaction fees there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. Britz does not accept any liability for variances up or down.
CREDIT CARDS The credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer. Accepted credit cards are Visa Card, MasterCard and American Express. A non-refundable 2% administration fee will apply to all Visa and MasterCard transactions or 4.5% for American Express. Credit card administration fees also apply to debited security bonds and only the hirer’s credit card is acceptable to use for the purpose of the security bond. PERSONAL AND COMPANY
CHEQUES
CALCULATION ERRORS Britz and/or their agent Australia 4 Wheel Drive Rentals/Goholi Pty Ltd will not honour calculation errors. Should a calculation error occur Britz will charge for the shortfall. This also applies to the Quote or ETicket.
AGENT NON-PAYMENT In the case where pre-payment is required and this has not been made the hirer agrees to pay the full costs to Britz. AGENTS NOTES: The agent 'Australia 4 Wheel Drive Rentals/Goholi Pty Ltd' as a Australian Licensed Travel has multiple measures in place for balance of rentals to the supplier THL Britz when reserving a prepaid booking for a hirer. Our respected policy is to pay Britz the next working day with client monies due to the supplier Britz.
LICENCE A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit. AGENTS NOTES: The agent also notes any addittional driver must be present when picking up the vehicle ONLY to sign the hirers agreement contract which will be held only at the branch. Any additional driver must compily with the 'License' requirements as to the hirer. A Learners or Probationary is not acceptable. If a license is an automatic class license that driver is not allowed to drive a manual car such as a 4WD car. Photocopies of a license or Escan's is NOT acceptable - the driver must present the current original license.
AGE RESTRICTIONS Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. For drivers 75 years of age or over, a medical certificate stating that the customer is fit to drive for the duration of the hire is required upon vehicle collection.
ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS & SERVICES To be requested at time of reservation or upon vehicle collection and paid by customer on the day of vehicle collection: AGENTS NOTES: The hirer is required to request these at reservation or up to 7 days prior through the agent and this is soley based on availability of the product - example the Sat Phone has limited stock available.
Charges for additional products and services will be charged per hire. Britz Bonus Pack - One-way fee if applicable, outdoor table and chairs, baby/booster seats (if required), pre-purchase gas option and the 4WD safety kit (4WD campervan rentals only) are included in the Britz Bonus Pack for campervans. * Britz strongly advises all 4WD customers venturing into remote areas of Australia to carry a 4WD outback safety kit, which includes a satellite safety beacon. The beacons can be activated in emergency situations to alert rescue authorities. If
a client would like to undertake a 4WD Training Course, Britz can recommend Operators
in local areas. Contact details available on request. Clients must book direct
with 4WD Training Operators.
ADMINISTRATION FEE A surcharge of 3% of the total cost will be levied to cover state government taxes, duties, vehicle registration recovery and administration costs. Britz reserves the right to amend the administration fee upon Government intervention. Note the 3% administration fee is included in the Britz Bonus Pack. AGENTS NOTES: Clause - Britz reserves the right to amend the administration fee upon Government intervention. If a tax imposed by a third party increases after a hirer books Britz reserve the right to pass on that cost to the customer. Britz do make every effort however where we can to introduce such a change from a booking date however as to not inconvenience a hirerx who had already booked but this may not always be possible. The 3% Admin Fee is not calulated on the Credit Card charges on the hire. It is based on the Gross Daily Basis Rental -This is based on a Britz formula and may be less at the counter - (Not any Bonus Pack/All Inlcusive/Premium Pack) The 3% Admin Fee is calulated on Excess Reduction Option 1 and 2. The

DURATION
4WD CAR - RENTAL DURATION
ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Britz reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period. AGENTS NOTES: Written permission is standard with most suppliers and they have to protect their clients (Hirer's) and vehicles from going out when roads are closed, flooded, under fire – etc all natural disaster mode. So the depot the hirer is picking the vehicle up from usually wait for the day of pickup and check the weather, any weather pending warnings, closed roads alerts, Head Office alerts, road conditions, local area condition and local authorities and then make a decision. The reason is road conditions and weather conditions can change. The client must receive this permission off the branch who will determine if the roads are suitable when the hirer picks up their hire vehicle. An example only of a Written Permission form for last season. Also it is to be noted all Britz vehicle have 1 (One) spare tyre only and it is up to the client to check they fully understand when being shown thru the vehicle at pickup how to change a tyre and it's the client's responsibility to be aware of where one can get the spare mended whilst on travel.
CHANGE OF DROP-OFF DESTINATION If the customer wishes to change the drop-off destination, they must first obtain authorisation from the Reservations or Scheduling departments. Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to AU$700 may apply.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS All amendments to bookings are subject to availability of vehicle and/or package. Different rates may apply based on the amendment made. VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: Amendments prior to the vehicle collection date will be re-calculated at the flex rate applicable on the date of amendment. This applies to changing the vehicle type, reducing the number of rental days, changing pick-up dates and/or changing the pick-up or drop-off location. Where the number of rental days is being extended prior to the vehicle collection date (days are being added on at the end of the rental with no change to the original pick up date), or the Bonus Pack is being added to or removed from the booking, the original flex rate, which applied at the time of the original booking, will apply.
MULTIPLE RENTALS Should a customer have more than one consecutive rental they can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the vehicle rate. Consecutive campervan hire in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and/or consecutive car hire in New Zealand for both Britz and Maui can be combined to qualify if the vehicle collection date/s are within a 3-month period. For all rentals to qualify each booking needs to be made at the same time. If a customer makes another booking at a later time, the new booking can be combined to qualify if the vehicle collection date/s are within a 3-month period however, the original booking/s will only qualify for a discount if the booking/s are not already travelling or travelled. Note that 2WD car hire in Australia cannot be combined with any campervan or New Zealand car hire to qualify for longer-term discounts. Longer-term discounts must be requested at the time of booking. For campervans that pick up and drop off on the same day, the less expensive rental day will be free of charge. This also applies to the Excess Reduction Option or the Britz Bonus Pack if applicable. If multiple hires are within the same country and total days exceed 50 days only the maximum charge applicable to the Excess Reduction Option or the Britz Bonus Pack will apply. If combining a vehicle hire with another Britz vehicle that has a more expensive Bonus Pack or Excess Reduction Option, the more expensive Bonus Pack/Excess Reduction maximum cost is applied. In the instance where a Britz hire is being combined with a Maui hire and the packages have either the Bonus Pack or the Premium Pack these components cannot be combined to have a maximum charge applied however the vehicle rate can have a longer-term discount applied if applicable. If multiple hires total more than 100 days these rates and terms do not apply. Requests for quotes/bookings of more than 100 days should be directed first to Reservations.
RENTALS IN BROOME (A Town In Western Australia) An additional remote location fee of AU$650 applies to all rentals picking up or dropping off in Broome. Only one remote location fee is charged per vehicle. This is in addition to the one-way fee if applicable. The fee applies per rental. AGENTS NOTES: Many suppliers have a Broome Fee. It may be said Broome a town on the north coast of Western Australia is not remote anymore though the logistics of running a business in Broome in this industry has been often discussed as extremely costly. Last minute relocations of vehicles for our clients can have a large transport fee as we have witnessed on numerous occasions. Retrieva of hire vehicles from the Kimberley also has seen larger retrieval fees. Broome, Western Australia is considered one of the gaetways to commence a Kimerbely selfdrive track.
TRANSFERS Britz clients will need to make their own way to and from the Britz branch, at their own expense. AGENTS NOTES: Britz the supplier will NOT be able to deliver a hire vehicle to the airport, your hotel or after hours under any circumstance. (Hobart is located on the airport industrial grounds section).
AIRPORT CONCESSION FEE An airport concession fee may be charged for hires with pick-up or drop-off from airport locations. An airport pick-up fee of AU$16.50 per hire (Campervans) or 8.5% of the total hire cost (per 4WD Car) will apply for hires with pick-up at Hobart airport. This fee is subject to change and new airport charges may arise. AGENTS NOTES: Hobart is the only depot at the airport industrial grounds - not at the terminal..
INFRINGEMENTS AND ADMINISTRATION FEES Britz reserves the right to charge the hirer for any speeding, toll way or parking fines and/or vehicle damage including Third Party property damage not reported on return of the vehicle. In addition to these costs, Britz reserve the right to charge for associated administration costs for processing the fines (irrespective of excess) and/or all insurance claims in the event of the customer not having a NIL excess. In addition to the costs associated per fine and/or insurance claim, an administration fee of $60 will be applicable.
CUSTOMER CARE ON-ROAD ASSISTANCE Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment failure, must be reported to Britz as soon as possible and within 24 hours in order to give Britz the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental. Failure to do so will compromise any claims for compensation. Britz do not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period. Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment failure, must be reported to free call: 1800 331 454 AGENT'S NOTES: The telephone number for 24 hour road side assistance is usually on a plastic tag on the keys and in your contract - Please check you secure this number when picking up your vehicle. Though from experience we recommend your write the telephone number down and have it separate and handy at all times in case you lock your keys in the car and can't get a visual of the tag.
REPAIRS Repairs up to AU$200 may be effected without authorisation and will be reimbursed upon presentation of a receipt. For amounts over AU$200, Britz will need to be informed in advance. Repairs will be approved provided the customer was not directly responsible for the damage. Receipts must be submitted for any repair or the claim will not be paid.
CHANGE OF VEHICLE Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Britz reserve the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund.
VEHICLE CATEGORY Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category. AGENTS NOTES: Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category. One of the many reasons is if a vehicle was nominated and that vehicle came in late from the prevus hirer then it would obvioulsy be unavailable. There are many reasons, all logistical. If you require a automatic in the 2WD campervan range as a request then we have the THL Maui vehicles part of the THL Britz group as a upmarket excellent option for you. In the 4WD range please note there is no vehicle that will accomodate or travel above 5 passengers and that all these vehicles are manual only and also note no Britz vehicle has a towbar.
VOLUNTARY DOWNGRADE Should the hirer decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.
CANCELLATION POLICY

No-Show a cancellation penalty of 100% of the Basic Daily Rental will instantly
apply without exception. This includes any refusal to accept the vehicle booked.
So we request hirer check the bed measurements and vehicle measurements to assure
they have the right vehicle. It is up to the hirer to select the right vehicle
for themselves and is not the responsiblity of Britz, Australia 4 Wheel Drive
Rentals or Goholi P/L Group the booking agents.
IMPORTANT Britz reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion. AGENTS NOTES: As
a booking agent Australia 4 Wheel Drive Rentals or Goholi P/L Group reserves the
right to refuse any quote or booking for a rental at its discretion. Branches
For Vehicle Collection and Return:
AGENTS NOTES: At pickup it is strongly suggested you check all switches such as gas and electrical and 'Double Check' you understand their functions, when to use them and their limitations. Also to check all cupboards, appliances etct so you know how to use them. This extra bit of time will save a bad experience later. Even checking the tent can be annoying for the hirer but at least check the zips, poles and pegs before leaving or just after leaving before the depot closes at 3.30pm as no supplier can assist you in a remote area if there are no shops. Britz requests that clients collecting or returning their vehicle to be in the office by 1530 hours. The gates shut at 1600 hours exactly as the manager of each depot has to let all the staff go at once. Also training and stocktake requires all staff to be on premise but gates closed. If you are coming from the airport please allow adequate time to try to get a taxi or wait for luggage from an airplane etc. If you feel you may miss a pickup or drop off you are reqired to ring the branch manager at the nominated Britz depot marked clearly on your ETicket direct and not the agent to make arrangements for a pickup the following morning. If you are delayed it is imperative to contact Britz Head Office which is 24 hours and the number is the same as the emergancy number in the section 'Breakdown' or the Britz Depot nominated on your ETicket and request a new pickup time. If you wish to extend a hire after commencing travel you must ring britz direct and not the agent (this is at the direction of Britz) to check availability, price and authorization. Once a client has commenced travel, or the day of pickup, or after travel has concluded then all contact must be made direct to Britz Head office.
